Art on the Hill: Dorothy Reister (a film by Susie Cody)

The Cazenovia Public Library will welcome filmmaker Susie Cody to the Community Room to present her documentary Art on the Hill: Dorothy Riester. The 32-minute film — directed, produced and edited by Cody — will be shown at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15.

The film tells the story of sculptor, conservationist and visionary Dorothy Riester and the founding of the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.

Cody grew up in Cazenovia and was a regular visitor and supporter of the Art Park. She studied filmmaking at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Art on the Hill was an official selection of the 2019 Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival.

The documentary was made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
