Join us at the Cazenovia Public Library this election season for an entertaining, educational, and inspiring “Political Party!” The Library will host a selection of shorts from WE THE VOTERS: Films for the People on Thursday, October 13th, at 3:15 pm and 7:00 pm in the Community Room.
WE THE VOTERS is a non-partisan organization, whose goal is to help people understand their individual roles in democracy. PBS has partnered with WE THE VOTERS to present a digital project featuring short films created to activate voters across the country. The films, which include comedies, documentaries, and animated shorts, provide a fresh perspective on democracy, elections, governance, and debating. The collection is presented by Vulcan Productions in conjunction with Show of Force and Warrior Poets production companies. Topics include the two party system, state’s rights, media bias, polling, health care, local government, liberty versus security, student debt, and more.
The screenings will be followed by a discussion session.
