In celebration of May Preservation Month, Chief Conservator Susan Blakney of West Lake Conservators will present a lecture on preserving paintings. “Susan’s interest and research in lining and treatment of oversized paintings has introduced new support materials and application techniques in practice nationwide by many other conservators.” In addition to Ms. Blakney’s vast career of public outreach and education, she has served as a director of the AIC Conservators in Private Practice and is the Vice President of the CNY Conservation Guild. This free presentation is made possible by the Friends of Lorenzo, NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Cazenovia Public Library. For more information, please call Lorenzo at (315) 655-3200.
