Farmers for America Film and Discussion

The Cazenovia Public Library will partner with the Cody family—long-time farmers in Fenner, NY—to present Farmers for America: A Documentary to Celebrate, Inspire and Support Young Farmers. The film offers a sweeping, optimistic look at the promise of American agriculture. The screening and conversation will take place Wednesday, January 24 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room.

The documentary traces the changes to America’s food system as an increasing number of consumers embrace farm-to-table lifestyles and insist on knowing the source of their food. The film centers on the farmers, young and old, who bring America together through food. Farmers for America introduces the young farmers of tomorrow, highlighting the practices they are championing and the obstacles they face. The film runs 75 minutes and will be followed by a group discussion.

To celebrate 150 years of farming, the Cody family will create a special display for the Library’s front lobby.

All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit
