The Cazenovia Public Library invites music enthusiasts of all ages to the Community Room on Friday, November 18th, at 7:00 pm for a special folk and Irish music concert performed by Pat Kane.
Pat Kane is a longtime singer, dancer, actor, and instrumentalist who grew up on a farm in the hill country of the Canisteo River and was raised in the traditions of the Grange and his Irish family. Kane’s company, West o’Clare, is a reference to West Clare, Ireland, where his cousins continue to run the family farm. He plays the fiddle, guitar, and bodhran, and performs jigs, square dances, and hundreds of Irish and American ballads. Kane has written many songs and produced several albums, and his singing talent earned him first place at the NYC Fleadh Cheoil. He is also a gifted dance instructor and caller for squares, ceili, and other styles. He currently hosts a weekly Irish radio show in Elmira, New York, and leads tours to Ireland throughout the year.
This event is made possible by the Friends of the Cazenovia Public Library.
All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
