Join us in celebrating the art of Rick Marchant on September 1st from 5:30 – 7pm in our exhibition gallery. Marchant’s exhibition, ‘Ten Years in Cazenovia’ will be on display through the month of September.
“This show is a selection of works completed during the ten years I have lived in Cazenovia. I enjoy working in a variety of mediums, including oil paint, clay, and pencil. My work is very deliberate, as I enjoy the process of accurate rendering. I continually try to develop patience and concentration in order to grow as an artist.”
“After retiring from teaching high school art, my wife, Anna, and I moved to Cazenovia. We were aware of a strong art presence here, which was an influence on our decision to move. I began meeting artists who shared my interest, and soon realized the many opportunities available to artists. The people I’ve met have been a strong influence on my enthusiasm and I have very much enjoyed pursuing the art opportunities Cazenovia has to offer.”
