Dr. Paul S. D’Ambrosio—President and CEO of the Fenimore Art Museum—will return to the Cazenovia Public Library on May 8 to lecture on America’s first major genre painter, William Sidney Mount (1807-1868). The presentation will be held at 7 p.m. in the Community Room.
D’Ambrosio’s lecture is inspired by the museum’s upcoming exhibition “Perfect Harmony: the Musical Art & Life of William Sidney Mount”—on display May 25 to September 8. The exhibit will explore the convergence of Mount’s passions for art and music through nearly 25 oil paintings, pencil drawings, musical instruments, and related objects.
All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
