
The Cazenovia Public Library will host a free public screening of Woody Allen’s Café Society on Friday, October 28th, at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the Community Room. The 2016 romantic comedy-drama stars Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll, and Ken Stott.
Set in the 1930s, the film centers on Bobby Dorfman, a young man who moves to Los Angeles and falls in love with his talent agent uncle’s assistant, Vonnie. When she leaves him for another man, a heartbroken Bobby returns home to the Bronx. Back in New York City, he begins to run a high-end nightclub with his gangster brother, Ben. Bobby transforms the club, “Les Tropiques,” into a famous hangout for the rich and powerful. He is introduced to the alluring socialite Veronica and romance ensues. Bobby’s life is turned upside down by the unexpected arrival of his old flame, Vonnie.
Café Society is rated PG-13 and runs 96 minutes
