Explore the fascinating world of tea at Loka Leaf Tea Lounge (76 Albany St.). The cozy village tea shop will host a free tasting as part of the Cazenovia Public Library’s “Warming up to Winter” program series. The wonderful event will be held on Thursday, February 7 at 7:00 pm.
Discovered thousands of years ago, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world after water. Research has shown that each type of tea (green, white, oolong, black, pu’er, and herbal) has unique health benefits. Loka Leaf owner, Mark Biviano will lead a tasting of five loose-leaf teas from around the world: matcha, hibiscus, ginger, Assam, and Gui Fei Cha. Biviano will discuss the health benefits of each variety and provide tips on how to enjoy the perfect cup of tea. The event is limited to 35 people.
The “Warming up to Winter” program series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
