Family Activities
Come together as a family and work on some fun projects. All you need is a little creativity and team work.
Kits will be distributed on the specified day. Kits will have family names on them and be easily accessible at a no-contact location at the lower entrance to the library. These events require registration. Please fill out the registration form or call the Library at 315.655.9322. If you’re no longer able to participate in a Family project please contact the library.
Fairy Houses- August 3rd (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
A favorite summer activity returns- it will just look a little different. Gather your family and some nature treasures, add in your creativity and voila, your very own fairy house for your backyard wonders.
Kit includes: a base to build the house and a sample of natural materials to build with.
Time Capsule Project- August 10th (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
2020 has been such a momentous year already. Document your own family’s experience by creating a time capsule! Add pictures, write your thoughts, create some artwork- maybe even add a face mask?!
Kit includes: a box and a journal with writing prompts
Flower Pressing- August 17th (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
Preserve your nature walk finds by building your own flower press.
Kit includes: wooden squares, screws, wing nuts, cardboard, and instructions.
Family Read Aloud (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
