Since the Library’s inception, its collections have been formed and built by members of the community and others who have had an interest in local history, the Library itself, a particular facet of Cazenovia life, natural history, other cultures, etc. Their donations have made their interests and histories available to others. Their generosity has made our collections, exhibitions and educational programs possible.

Paper materials, paintings, metal, wood, artifacts, etc. require care and conservation. Fortunately, the new Library building was designed with a special archives room, a vault for storing art, and special rooms for showing our collections. Due to space limitations and conservation requirements, the Library cannot accept all donations, but it is always interested in building its current collections. We welcome inquiries if you are interested in contributing objects that you think would enrich our shared heritage.
