Egyptian Heart Scarab with Wings

EGYPTIAN HEART SCARAB (WITH WINGS)

Scarabs feature prominently in Ancient Egyptian funerary images. Emerging each sunrise and returning to its burrow each sunset—the scarab beetle served as a symbol of rebirth in the afterlife. Our stone scarab, along with many other funerary objects (e.g., two mummies, death masks, and tomb artifacts), were procured by Robert Hubbard on his 1894 Grand Tour.
