This summer there’s an Ocean of Possibilities here at the Library and we’re setting sail for some fun and learning. Come aboard with Ms. Jenna and Ms. Brynn for a whale of a good time. Events for families, teens, and children of all ages!

Teddy Bear Parade
July 2, 10:30AM
Join the Library for our annual kick off to the Fourth of July with the return of the Teddy Bear Parade! Meet Ms. Jenna & Ms. Brynn in Memorial Park at 10:30 on July 2. Come ready to join our parade down to the Library. Decorated bikes and scooters are welcomed and encouraged. Once we are at the Library lawn we will share stories, activities, and light refreshments.
Utica Zoo Mobile
July 5, 6PM
Families are invited to join us in the Library’s Betsy Kennedy Community Room to meet and greet animals from the Utica Zoo.
The Utica ZooMobile Presentation Program is an interactive program in which a Utica Zoo educator will bring a variety of live animals and related biofacts. Visit the Utica Zoo Mobile website.
Family Fishing Workshop
July 16, 7PM
National-International angling coach and mentor, Mr. Michael McGrath of McGrath & Associates will be conducting one of his informative family angling events located at the Cazenovia Public Library Community Room on July 16 at 10:30am. This event is designed for the whole family.
Stuffed Animal Sleepover
July 21, 6PM
Join Ms. Jenna and Ms. Brynn for a special evening Story Time for children and their stuffed animals. We will share bedtime books, songs and crafts with families before we tuck the Stuffed Animals in for an adventure after the Library closes.
Stuffed Animals will be available to be picked up in the Library’s Story Garden on Friday, July 22 after 10:30am.

Students ages 5-10 are invited to join Ms. Brynn in chapter book read aloud this summer. Beginning on July 14, Ms. Brynn will read a few chapters each week from Michelle Nelson-Schmidt’s novel “Cordelia and the Whale”. Accompanying the reading will be themed activities and snacks.

Children ages 10 to 13 are invited to set sail on an Oceans of Possibilities this summer where we will explore a different STEAM inspired challenge each week. Some of these projects include: a secret message in a bottle, creating a plastic bag plant basket, submarine science, and mythical sea creatures. REGISTRATION IS REQUESTED.

After Hours Lock in
Locked in the Library after closing? Sounds like fun! Teens are invited to a special after hours event at the Library. Join us for a fun evening of games, food, and activities after the Library is closed.
Glow Party
Teens are invited to the Library’s Community Room to have a glow party with music, snacks, and a glow in the dark dance party.
Please bring a plain white shirt to decorate.
